The Clown is a theatrical technique of importance in the development of the actor, in his study because it must undergo a highly demanding physical work, tending to develop mastery of the body in pursuit of gestural expression, which is the primary means of communication of the Clown.

The Clown teaches us and captivates us, it is the most naked of performing artists; in it unlike the "character", there is a mask that defines a particular role. He enjoys absolute freedom, it feeds both success and failure also, living every breath be a wonderful adventure, giving himself completely to his stage and audience, as if beyond all that did not exist any more.

About the Teacher:

The workshop will be taught by Sologuren Amaya Gutierrez, founder, director and clown gestures Theatre Company "Blackjack." International Graduate School of Gesture and Image "La Mancha." Training in Barcelona Spain, Amaya works with the Catalan group Comediants Els, Clown with the Hungarian master Peter Gadish and commedia dell'arte with the French maestro Christophe Marchand (School of Jacques Lecoq, Paris). studies in Chile with Jesus Jara (author of "The Clown, a navigator of emotions") and A Clown pace with Sergio Clark (artistic director of "Payasospital)

About

Training This training is aimed at performing artists (actors, actresses, musicians, dancers, dancers and students from different schools in the region), who may have free access to the workshop, developing and sharing of knowledge between the different artistic schools and trends, participants also gained knowledge of the Clown, an art that is still in a incipient stage of development in Chile.

The maximum of the course is 20 students, which will be chosen through an audition, the day July 17 to 19 hours at 2338 Victoria Avenue School of Theatre and Dance ARCIS Valparaiso University.

Minimum attendance required: 90% attendance.

term workshop: July-August-September-October-November on Tuesdays from 19 to 22 hrs

At the end there will be a sign of collective creation end with a time of 1 hour and will be represented on three separate occasions, free of charge and open to the public.
