Domestication and ostrich farming can be directed towards the production of meat, fur, feathers and eggs.
An ostrich egg weighs between 1 and 2 kg (equivalent to about 24 chicken eggs). They are white or yellow (possibly to prevent overheating in the sun of the savannah).
The eggs are the largest of all birds, reaching 20 cm long. Once
pups born egg shells would not work at all, but can be recycled for decoration, they are painted on the shell and you can see the porous texture of the egg.
