What Are Headscissors

Gensho

A cemetery
autumn fireflies,
two or three.
A text offers the background of this poem:
A Zen monk of the temple Myoshinji Kyoto Gensho went to see the drawing I had done a calaera and asked to write a poem about it.
The fifth day of the first month of 1742, Gensho wrote [the poem that has transcito]. When he finished, he left the brush and died ... His followers consideradon his poem to death.
station fireflies (hotaru ) is the summer, but may still be shining some, late, night fall.

died the fifth day of the first month of 1742, at the age of 58.
